Bringing your car to the University of Exeter can offer convenience and flexibility when exploring the city and its surroundings. While parking in certain areas may require a fee, there are also options for free parking available to students. Here are some tips and roads known for free parking near the university:

Streatham Campus: Some nearby residential areas around Streatham Campus, such as Pennsylvania Road and Victoria Park Road, offer free on-street parking. Keep in mind that these spaces might be limited and subject to availability, so plan ahead and arrive early to secure a spot.

St. Luke's Campus: If you're studying at St. Luke's Campus, roads like Magdalen Road and Baring Crescent often have free parking spaces available. Be mindful of any time restrictions or designated resident parking areas.

On-campus spots require a parking ticket which can be purchased through the app RingGo.

I would suggest not bringing your car in the first year as you are usually not close to the free roads around town and like myself may rack up some parking tickets! However, usually, you get a warning or two from university parking services before you get a full monetary fine!
