I had a wonderful time at The Angel on Crossgate for pre-theatre drinks. The staff was extremely friendly and provided helpful recommendations for things to do and places to eat in Durham. The seating was comfortable, and they offered a fantastic selection of drinks. Despite its appearance from the outside, the bar was surprisingly spacious. The name of the pub is quite fitting and adds to its charm.
