St Chad's College offers accommodation for first-year undergraduate students in the center of Durham City. Upper-year students can choose Trinity Hall. St Chad's is fully catered, while Trinity Hall provides self-catered options. The accommodation on The Bailey consists of seven unique houses, fostering a diverse community. Located across from Durham Cathedral, our student residences preserve history while offering modern facilities. Most first-year beds are shared, with some single rooms available. Sharing a room is a valuable part of the St Chad's experience.

Getting to St Chad’s

Building Security

Each resident gets a key fob and is programmed to be able to swipe to enter the doors of St Chad’s. Each room has a set of keys and therefore can be locked and unlocked as required.
