Halifax College is the York’s largest college, that sits on the edge of Heslington village, with a variety of self-catered houses, flats and family accommodation set around leafy courtyards, surrounded by green space. Halifax has two large common rooms, an on-site shop, cash point and a free shuttle bus running regularly to the center of Campus West if you don’t fancy the 10-minute walk. It also has a small amount of resident parking.

GETTING TO HALIFEX COLLEGE

Halifax College accommodation is located on the University's Campus West, close to the library, shops, and cafes. The College is just a 30-minute walk across campus, or you can use the free bus service.

BUILDING SECURITY

To ensure your safety, the accommodation facilitates with secure access doors, security cameras for your safety and a 24-hour emergency helpline. Each resident's university student card is programmed to be able to swipe to enter the doors. Each room has a set of keys and therefore can be locked and unlocked as requested.
