Undergraduate Accommodation
Broad Street
For the first year, each Fresher undergraduate is allocated a single-study bedroom (usually with shared bathroom facilities) on the Broad Street site.
A ballot is held each year to distribute College rooms for third- or fourth-year students who want to live at Broad Street.
Jowett Walk
Jowett Walk is a five-minute walk from the main site on Broad Street. The accommodation is made up of self-contained flats, including bedrooms with en-suite facilities. Students can apply to live there individually or with a group of friends.
Master's Field
Master's Field is a five-minute walk from the main site on Broad Street. All student rooms have en-suite bathrooms (with a shower and basin), a desk and a bed. The rooms are in 'clusters'; each cluster shares a central communal area and a kitchen. There is an undergraduate common room for larger gatherings.
All beds are small doubles (except for the bedrooms in building B2 which are standard singles). There are three rooms for disabled undergraduate students; all the buildings have ground-level access and there are lifts to all floors.
Graduate Accommodation
Balliol is able to offer single-study bedrooms for sole occupancy to most first-year graduate students (although they are unable to guarantee accommodation to all).
Holywell Manor
The Manor has a large garden, a common room, bar, gym, television room, music room and computer room. All graduates have the use of these facilities, as well as those available on the main College site in Broad Street.
